先进天基太阳天文台”是即将工程立项并计划于2022年发射的我国第一颗太阳探测卫星,围绕该卫星有效载荷未来观测数据分析软件及有关科学开展研究。

ASO-S is the first Chinese solar satellite which will be launched in 2022. The mission of the position will concentrate on the data analysis software and scientific objective dedicated researches.

The group of X-ray/UV science and space detection in PMO invites the applications for a couple of postdoc positions in the field of High-energy astrophysics: X-ray/UV spectroscopy for diffuse plasmas; Muti-wavelength studies for nearby galaxies; Hydro-dynamical simulations for galaxies; and Technologies for UV space detection. The successful applicants will collaborate with Prof. Ji, L. and her group. The positions are available for 2 years, funding for research travel and equipment is also provided. Additional benefits such as housing can be provided by PMO. The preferred starting date is Oct. 1st 2017 although it can be negotiable.

A requirement for employment is the possession of the Ph.D. diploma in Astrophysicsphysics or Optics, a list of publications, a statement of scientific interests and plans (2 pages) and two letters of recommendation. For full consideration, the applications should be received by Sep.1st, 2017. The review of applications will begin soon after this date and continue until the positions are filled.
