Dear Dr. QiShi:

　　I am shocked to learn the sad news about prof. Lu . He was a best friend of mine, really a great friend, scientist and teacher to me.

　　He always devoted his best effort to science , students as well as friends , including me, with a warm heart and smiling. I never forget his lucid lecture kind instruction on particle physics and cosmology as well as encouragement on my preliminary thinking about the origin of gamma burst. His prominent contribution to the world science is really a great achievement of Chinese science community

　　Even after I moved to US since my retirement , he sent me one or two greetings cards (with beautiful pictures) every year until year before last year. He will be alive in my heart until the end of my life.

　　Please bring my deep condolence to his family.
