廖世勇，博士，副研究员。1983年5月出生，2010年在南京大学获得理学博士学位。2010年至2014年底任国土部成都地质矿产研究所助理研究员和副研究员。2015年至今任中国科学院紫金山天文台副研究员。主要从事陨石和微陨石的矿物岩石学、地球化学和同位素年代学研究，探索行星演化的过程和历史，以及地球深时空间碎片环境。曾获部级科学技术奖两项。近年来，主持国家和省自然科学基金多项，以第一作者或通讯作者身份在EPSL，GCA和MAPS等国内外学术期刊发表论文十余篇。
